SALLY WEILER, MSW
Relationships can greatly enrich our lives and be a source of great challenge. Many couples experience times of feeling hopeless or desperate for change. There are various reasons why couples seek therapy, some of which may include improved communication, increased connection, unresolved conflict, infidelity or overall relationship satisfaction. I work with relationships of all types and approach therapy as a collaboration between the therapist and the couple. I provide a safe environment where each partner is treated with empathy and respect and hold the relationship as the center of my work. Partners can each expect an opportunity to be heard and understood, while challenged to explore a new and different way of being with one another.
Although couples may struggle with similar concerns, each individual and each couple is unique. As such, I use an integrated approach that pulls from multiple theories including, Psychodynamic, Relational, Cultural, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, and more.
I have over 35 years experience working with couples and currently provide consultation and supervision for therapists looking to increase their competency in working with relationships. I was trained from a family systems perspective and continue to integrate both classical and current theories in my work.
